- Fifty-two Joseph Adams Senior Scholarships worth $64,000 will be awarded.
- There are twenty expense paid Bertie Green Junior Travel Awards to Costa Rica in 2007 for junior members.
- An SHH Manual is sent to each new chapter
- The chapter journal, ¡Albricias! is published quarterly.
- Cash awards are given to members whose work is published in ¡Albricias!, $50 for front cover art work, $35 for poetry and prose selections. More cash awards and recognition are given to those whose work is chosen as Best of ¡Albricias!.
- Prizes of $50, $75, and $100 are awarded for short and long term activities entered in the Activity of the Year Contest.
- Chapter of the Year receives $200 and a certificate, or $150 and a plaque.
- The John Temple State Director of the Year receives an expense free trip to the AATSP Annual Meeting in San Diego, California for 2007.

Sociedad Hispánica de Amistad is a new organization for elementary and middle school students and their teachers. In order to have a chapter, the teachers must be members of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese, our parent organization.
Because there are almost an infinite number of program styles for Spanish in elementary and middle schools, SHA is designed to be flexible and curriculum friendly. Schools may elect to have either Regular Members, Honor Members, or both. Both Regular and Honor Members are required to participate in projects. The projects are divided into three categories:
- Ambassadorship (focus on using the language to share with others)
- Service to School
- Service to Community

The Sociedad Honoraria Para Profesores de Español is an Indiana organization promoting the dedication of teachers to the teaching of Spanish, to continued professional development, and to the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP).
Para ser un miembro de esta sociedad hay que cumplir con algunos requisitos. Hay que tener 10 años de experiencia, ser miembro de la organización del AATSP durante los tres últimos años y mostrar su dedicación a la enseñanza de español o portugués. Para ser miembro de esta organización baje el documento con la solicitud de membresía.
